SHEIKH AL DOAT AL MUTLAQEEN-SYEDNA TAHER SAIFUDDIN (R.A)

AL Dai Al Ajal Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (TUS) states: “ A Mumin when he does my Didaar, he recalls the Noorani countenance of Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A). And in the same way Mumineen who got the sharaf of Didaar of Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A), when they see me, they remember Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A).”

Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A), one of the strongest pillars amongst the Doat Mutlaqeen (A.S). Maula who had possessed the sharaf of being in the Khidmat of Imam uz Zaman (S.A) for the longest period amongst the Doat Mutlaqeen. Maula who has composed the verses and qasidaas in the Madeh of Imam uz Zaman (S.A), that no other has composed. Maula who because of his long, faithful services to Imam uz Zaman (S.A) and to the cause of Dawat and Deen, came to be known as Sheikh Al Doat Al Mutlaqeen- arrived in this world from the Qudsaani Aalam, as a bounty and a blessing for the Mumineen, perhaps for the whole mankind.

Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A) was born on 27th of Zilqadah 1305.H in Surat. He was just eight when Umm Al Mumineen passed away. On the fifteenth year, Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (R.A), 49th Dai took the Misaak of Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A) and on the seventeenth year, He was elevated in the Rutba of Hadiyat. In a way Hadiyat itself had a sharaf of being itself enrolled in the Qadsaani Zaat Mubaraka of Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A). On the 18th year of His birth, Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (R.A) passed towards Malae Aala. And on the 28th year, Syedna Abdullah Badruddin (R.A) elevated Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A) in the Rutba of “Raas Al Hudud”.

When Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A), was twenty-eight. Syedna Abdullah Badruddin (R.A) made Nass on Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A) in Dumas in Surat. When in the morning Taher Saifuddin Aqa (R.A) arrived for the Qadam Bosi of Syedna Abdullah Badruddin (R.A), He was informed about the Nass, and Maulana’s eyes filled with tears. Syedna Abdullah Badruddin (R.A) at that time proclaimed such Kalemaat Nooraniyah that the period of Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A) enlightened with those Kalemaat. Syedna Abdullah Badruddin (R.A) stated: “Bhai mein janoo choo ke fitnat na waadal gherayela che – koi andesho na rakhjo – imam uz zaman no haath bhai ni peeth par che – mein umeed karoo choo ke imam uz zaman bhai na haath par zuhoor kare.”

According to prophecy and Bisharat of Syedna Abdullah Badruddin (R.A) the period of Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A) was enlightened by being himself SHAMS AL DOAT AL MUTLAQEEN. The clouds of fitnat couldn’t cover His noor; neither did the turmoil’s of life break the resolutions of Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A). Rather Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A) molded the ways of the world according to his principals.

The pace of that period was such that every human with his keen sight could see and understand that the velocity of that era is no doubt extraordinary. And it seemed that the freedom was possible for those who would make their principals according to that period. The First World War had just come to an end. New ambitions and goals had opened their doorways towards the life. Most of the religious faiths of the worlds had proved to be wrong. Russia on the contrary had fought against the Colonial Society, and had created a new Social Society. Most of the Muslim countries were attracted and inspired by this Society and a kind of mentality was developed amongst the Muslims that, talking about the faith and religion made them feel inferior and insecure.

At that time of distress, there seemed to be no one who could take up the responsibility of saving Islam from the clutches of the wrong concepts. A Dai, who has the hold of the pace of life in his hands, could only proclaim it. It can only be Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A) who can make the statement of Syedna Abdullah Badruddin (R.A) come true that “Imam uz zamaan no haath bhai ni peeth par che”. The Shams, that brings life to earth. Only that shams can proclaim that “I will mould the pace of life according to Islam”.

The history of that lengthy period of 53 years witnessed, that this Maula did change the pace of life according to his principals, The principals of Islam and Iman. At the very turning point in the history of Islam, Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A) took hold of the harness of Muslims. He served the religion, being the vice chancellor of “Aligarh Muslim University”. He pulled out the Muslims, from the deep dark ditch of the darkness by attending the first ever-held conference on Islam in Palestine. Thy was also granted from the government of Egypt “Wisaam Al Nile” for his Excellency and services for the cause of Islam. Thus it cannot be denied that the era, the period itself served the Dai of Amir Ul Mumineen (S.A).

Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A) had an extraordinary and a remarkable virtue in the Khidmat of Imam uz Zaman (S.A). Thy was a true Aashiq of Imam Husain (S.A). It was thy who made the Zarih Mubarak of Raas Al Husain (S.A). It was thy who covered the Zarih Of Imam Husain (S.A) in Karbela with gold. The virtues of Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A) are such that if the oceans were the ink and the trees were the pens then too, it would have been impossible to count his virtues.

The Dai of Rasulallah (S.A) like Rasulallah, fought 28 cases. There is no such record in the history, that any Dai were summoned for such a long hearing. All these deeds of Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A) were just rendered for the cause of Dawat and Mumineen. Maulana’s shafaqat on us Mumineen was such, that thy would quench our thirst with milk, if we wished for water.
Amongst the countless virtues of Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A), “Rasail sharifa” holds a unique status. As Amir ul Mumineen (S.A) displayed the miracle of “Tai Ul Arad”, the corrugation of the earth. In the same way the Dai of Amir ul Mumineen (S.A) displayed the miracle of “Tai Ul Kutub”, the corrugation of Ilm E Ale Mohammed (S.A) by writing “Rasail Sharifa”. Today the Risala of Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A) amongst us is Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (TUS), In his heart is engraved the asraar of Ilm E Ale Mohamed (S.A).

It is well known that Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A), travelled a lot in trains. Maulana (R.A) always had his back towards the engine, and in front of Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A) sat Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (TUS). This deed of Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A) proved that thy has turned his back to the pace of life. Although thy is present in the same era, travelling within the pace of life. And facing towards a vessel (INA), which is the best of the vessels, to pass on the Barakaat and the Blessings. And Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (TUS) sitting in front of his Bawaji saheb Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A), as a vessel is well aware that the Maula in front of him is the ocean of Ilm E Ale Mohammed (S.A), and is passing on that Ilm in this vessel.

Thus the statement of Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (TUS) is proved that, “ A Mumin when does my Didaar, he recollects the memories of Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A).
Today Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A) is resting in the jiwaar of Quran E majid in Rauzat Tahera. May Allah’s Salawaat be upon Syedna Taher Saifuddin (R.A), and may thy’s Barakaat and Hasanat, Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (TUS) be amongst us to guide us and pull us out of this world, till the day of judgment.
